Lisa Deneau

Lisa Deneau is a professional photographer and jazz piano enthusiast based in
Brooklyn, New York. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, she grew up surrounded by
creativity—her mother a musician, her father an architect. Lisa earned her
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art from Indiana University before moving
to New York City, where she built a career in business development and marketing
for architectural and structural engineering firms.

Today, through her business, Once Upon a Tail Photography, Lisa brings her
lifelong love of photography, art and animals together. She specializes in
expressive, personality‑filled portraits of dogs and the people who love them, as
well as fine art photographs of swans that capture their quiet elegance and natural
grace. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for the beauty of animals and the
emotional connection they share with people—an enduring harmony that echoes
her passion for music, photography, and design.
